A medical consultation is indispensable to confirm your vaginismus condition before starting the treatment of vaginismus that we are providing.

Vaginismus is a frequent motive for medical consultation in sexology.

Therefore, you are not the only one to suffer from vaginismus!

Do not worry
The treatment that we are providing will help you solve your vaginismus problem.

Vaginismus is a sexual disorder that is characterized by an involuntary contraction of the vaginal muscles, making penetration impossible and/or painful.

From the vaginismus definition are exclude the vulvo-vaginal malformations that can also result in impossible penetration and/or sexual pain. These malformations need a chirurgical treatment.

Vaginismus, unlike dyspareunia (pain during the penetration), exists the more often from the first attempt of penetration. Besides, for vaginismus, the fear of penetration is stronger and more uncontrollable than in dyspareunia. For vaginismus, it is only a matter of a fear, almost phobic, of the penetration.

Vaginismus is more common than people think.

Vaginismus affects hundreds of thousands of women from every different background. In more than 20 years of practicing sexology, our sex therapist has been treating more than hundred cases of vaginismus with 99% of success. In fact, vaginismus is the easiest sexual dysfunction to treat and which gives the best percentage of success!

When gynecologist is consulted, involuntary spasm during pelvic exam can confirm the diagnosis of vaginismus and he will rule out any physiological causes for the condition.

Women suffering from vaginismus are able to enjoy sexual stimulation and orgasm through clitoral caresses and like to concentrate on sexual activity that does not involve penetration.

Most couples, who consulted our sex therapist, have been living together for 3 to 5 years without ever succeeding in a vaginal penetration and seek help only because pregnancy is desired.

During gynecological examination, the behavior of women suffering from vaginismus is characteristic: start back of the women from the approach of the speculum and involuntary spasms during pelvic examination.

The behavior of the patient is the one of someone who feels a panic fear, just at the idea that the gynecologist could introduce a speculum into her vagina or make a vaginal touch.

The behavior of a woman suffering from vaginismus is the same with her partner: panic fear of penetration.

There are many possible causes of vaginismus and the more common are:

An education, during childhood, particularly depreciating about sexuality, with strong interdicts (banned of nudity, fond parental caresses, masturbation etc.).

Guilt due to incestuous touching or pedophile during childhood

A first attempt of sexual intercourse particularly painful or psychologically traumatizing.

All sexual violence (sexual assault or rape) whatever the age

More rarely, a long time of dyspareunia that has evolve to a vaginismus.

For many cases of vaginismus, no cause can be determined and only psychotherapy might find the psychological origin of it. You need to know that, if the psychotherapy can help to understand the origin of the problem, the more often it will not treat it! Fortunately, it is not always necessary to know the cause to treat vaginismus.

What is necessary to understand is that vaginismus has often a psychological origin and is usually primary. Primary vaginismus is diagnosed in woman who has never been able to have sexual relations with penetration due to the involuntary contractions of her vaginal muscles.

The first consequence of vaginismus is the impossibility to have a baby in a natural way and it is why many women only ask for help when pregnancy is desired.

The partner of a woman who suffers from vaginismus is almost always very nice and very kind and is satisfied, during the first year of the relation, with sexual activities that do not involve vaginal penetration. It is later that his non-realized desire of vaginal penetration, as well as his desire to have a baby, might lead to the separation of the couple.

Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent vaginismus. However, it is important to maintain open communication with your partner as it may help to prevent the disorder, or to encourage seeking help if it occurs.

It is necessary to know that psychotherapy can be a useful complement to a behavioral therapy, but in most cases of vaginismus, the psychotherapy alone will not sort out the problem of penetration.

On the contrary, to what you may think this problem can be easily solved within 2 to 3 months of daily work for half an hour a day.

The behavioral vaginismus treatment file (non medical), that we are providing, has been perfected, years after years, with all the details and accuracies possible on the exercises to do.

This vaginismus treatment is based on the discovery of your anatomy and physiology, on the control of your fear of penetration, and on exercises relating to the muscles surrounding your vagina. These exercises of gradually increased difficulties, will allow you, to your own rhythm, step by step, to control your fear of penetration, in order to end up in a penetration of your partner, without pain.

This vaginismus treatment can be carried out even if you are single but, if you have a partner, his help will be particularly useful in order to solve more quickly your problem.

So, trust yourself and believe in the help we can offer you, and do not let the time going thinking that your problem will be solved by itself, because your partner will at some point get fed up of this situation and, more you will wait, more you will feel a lack of trust in yourself to resolve your vaginismus.
