Answers to common questions about condom:

1- Why young people are advised to use pill and condom? Is the pill not enough effective?

The pill is effective as far as contraception is concerned, but do not forget that pill does not protect against diseases that you can catch during sexual intercourses (venereal diseases). As for condoms, it can break or you cannot have it to hand during sexual relation out of your place (car, etc.)!

2- When I am having sex with my boyfriend, I am using condoms. After my partner ejaculation, I take gently off the condom without any problem. Often it happens that after few minutes we have sex again, my partner do 3 to 4 backwards and forwards without protection, then we use again a condom. Is it possible to get pregnant?

The lifetime of spermatozoon in the open air (on the sex of your partner) is very short, so, theoretically, the risk should be very low, because your partner needs at least 5 minutes before to be able to get another erection. In the contrary, some sperm can remain in your partner urinary canal which could be evacuate during the second penetration, so the risk is, indeed, not inconsiderable! Tell your partner to urinate, to give his sex a rinse and to dry it before a new penetration in order to avoid a risk even if it is a low risk.

3- During my last sexual relation, one day ago, the condom has been broken. What should I do? Thanks for replying in urgency.

It is really a matter of urgency! You have to take the morning-after pill, which is delivered in pharmacy, without prescription. This pill has to be taken in one or two times, depending on the brand of it. Quicker you will take this pill, better will be its effectiveness. The effectiveness is about 95% if the pill is taken before 24h after the intercourse and 85% between 24 and 48h. 

4- I am 15 years old and I had my first sexual relation, with my boyfriend, yesterday evening. He did not want to use a condom because he told me that he will be able to control his ejaculation, but he did not manage to do it. I do not want to talk about it with my parents and I am really scared of getting pregnant. Quick, help me.

You have to take the morning-after pill, which is delivered in pharmacy (or in the high school or college infirmary) without prescription and for minor peoples without the agreement of the parents.

5- What do you think about the female condom?

It can be a good solution when the male partner does not want to use a condom. This condom is as fine as male condom, it has to be introduced in the vagina and should cover the labia minora, it is lubricated and it can be put on quite a while before the sexual intercourse, because the woman can walk with it. Some women find it annoying during the preliminary, but it can be introduced only after the preliminary but before the penetration.
