The vagina is an elastic muscular tube about 4 inches long that connects the vulva at the outside to the cervix of the uterus at the inside. The vaginal opening is at the back end of the vulva, behind the opening of the urethra. The inside of the vagina is usually pink. The hymen (membrane situated behind the urethral opening) partially covers the vagina from birth until it is ruptured by sexual intercourse, or by any number of other activities including medical examinations, injury, certain types of exercise, introduction of object, etc. (It is at 2 to 3 cm behind hymen that is located the G-spot). The vagina serves as the receptacle for the penis during sexual intercourse and as the birth canal through which the baby passes during labor. Vaginas are all different in shapes and sizes as everyone's bodies are different, and two thick folds of skin called labia protect it. During delivery or sexual intercourse, the vagina widens and lengthens up to 2-3 times. Glands located near the cervix provide vaginal lubrication, which seeps through the vaginal wall (which does not contain any glands). (See female anatomy) 1- My first boyfriend with whom I had sexual relations told me that my vagina was too large and that he did not get any pleasure during penetration. Is it possible because it worries me? It is very rare for a woman to have a too large vagina. If you never had children then your vagina cannot be too large. Only childbirth can affect the size of the vagina. 2 - My boyfriend told me that I have the vagina of an old woman because it is wrinkly. It is true that the vaginal walls are wrinkly. However, at the contrary to what your boyfriend thinks, young women have wrinkled vagina and old women smooth one. 3- When I penetrate my girlfriend, my penis bumps against something at the back of her vagina. What is it? At the back of the vagina, there is the neck of the womb and it is against what your penis bumps. 4- I have the chance to have a wife who can manage to give strong contractions to her vagina during sexual relations and I have to admit that I fully take advantage of it. Could you tell me what is the percentage of women who are able to control their vaginal contractions? I do not have percentage to give you, as there is no statistic of it. All women who have a good perineum musculature can contract the muscles surrounding the vagina. 5- After sexual relation, the sperm come out again from the vagina of my partner. Is it normal? Is this can prevent my partner to get pregnant? This is absolutely normal and variable depending on the volume of the ejaculated sperm. Do not be worry this will not prevent your partner to get pregnant! 6 - I am 33 years old and sometimes even if I really want to have sex with my partner, I am not getting enough lubricated. What can I do? If it happens only sometimes, it might be because you have a strong mental desire to have sex with your partner but not really a physical desire. To be well lubricated a woman must have physical desire. When you do not get enough lubricated to allow a penetration then you can use a lubricant. If this lack of lubrication persists even if you have strong physical excitation then you should see your gynecologist because a vaginal infection such as mycosis can be responsible of vaginal dryness. 7- Do women with a neo-vagina have a G-spot? There is no publication about it but I do not think that they have a g-spot. Not all women have a g-spot and among those who do not have one, many can nevertheless reach orgasm. 8- If we have daily sexual relations, is it normal to have daily vaginal discharge? A woman, even if she does not have sexual relation has daily vaginal discharge. Vaginal discharge is more important for women who have daily sexual relations because at the “normal” vaginal discharge is added the sperm that come out of the vagina. 9- Where is located the G-spot in the vagina? The G-spot is located on the upper wall of the vagina close to its entrance. 10- When I introduce a finger into the vagina of my partner, I can feel something at the back of it. What is it? What you feel with your finger at the back of her vagina is the neck of the womb. (See female anatomy) 11- What can I do about strong vaginal odor? I advise you to see your doctor as strong vaginal odor is not normal and it might be due to some kind of infection. |
